Sharkware software is independent third-party software for supported BYD Shark head units and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by BYD.

Licence

Purchases grant a personal or commercial licence to use the applicable Sharkware product under the purchased tier. The purchase does not transfer ownership of Sharkware source code, signing material, research files, licence-generation material or other intellectual property.

Vehicle and head-unit compatibility

Sharkware is tested only on supported vehicle/head-unit software combinations. BYD, dealer or head-unit updates may change compatibility. Sharkware intends to provide compatible updates where reasonably practical, but continuous or indefinite compatibility with future manufacturer updates is not guaranteed.

Warranty and manufacturer support

Installing third-party software does not necessarily void a vehicle or head-unit warranty. However, Sharkware does not guarantee that installation or use will have no effect on manufacturer, dealer or head-unit warranty, service or support. Customers should consider their own vehicle and warranty circumstances before installation.

Installation

Customers must follow the supported installation/update method and should not install during vehicle or head-unit updates or while the vehicle is being driven.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
